Hello Dear Ones! Our recent travels through Guatemala did not allow for dependable internet, but, now we are able to update our posts and share with you all. During the month of April, we made our home in the small lakeside village of Santa Cruz on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Three volcanoes stand as guardians to this sacred water of the Maya families that live in the villages surrounding the lake. Our view was incredible and gave us constant access to witness the mingling of the clouds and mist, sunshine sparkling on the teal water… all against the powerful presence of the volcanoes.
We were in a comfortable little haven with a colorful flower garden and the constant buzzing by of hummingbirds, however, our little family tribe took on an unfriendly illness of the stomach variety …. (I suppose it was going to happen sometime, as folks say when traveling through Central America!). However, we managed to enjoy some nearby outings. The hike up the mountainside was very rewarding with amazing views and a delightful reception at CECAP . A wonderful program based in the village of Santa Cruz supporting the young men & women of the community with education & work opportunities. But, our saving grace was the short walk from our home down the edge of the lake to Isla Verde. Kind hosts tend to this yoga sanctuary and the best part being that we were allowed to play on the aerial silks anytime we desired.
Our time on the lake was an education on many levels. We are grateful for the opportunity to witness the realities of modern life blended with the undying presence of the spiritual message of the Maya. In truth, this mystical land needs healing prayers of it’s waters and vibrant food for it’s people. There are pockets of awareness of those working hard to bring this vision into a constant reality…and our gathered attention of love will only magnify the beautiful evolution ≈ while we are there all together, let’s send blessings to ALL waters and wellness for ALL beings for our entire planet! Bless it UP!!!
